Course Provider Resources (Pre-License & CE)

The resources on this page are for private vocational schools who are seeking approval from the Department of Real Estate to offer Pre-License/Statutory courses and Continuing Education (CE) courses to California real estate examinees and licensees.

The Education and Research Section of the Department of Real Estate reviews Pre-license/Statutory course submissions and Continuing Education course submissions pursuant to Article 24 and 25 of the Regulations of the Real Estate Commissioner.

Please note that CE course submissions require 90 days for review and Pre-license/Statutory course submissions require 60 days for review.

Pre-License Course Providers

Course sponsors that would like to pay course fees by credit card can use form RE 909. All out-of-state course providers will also need form RE 304.

A separate application fee of $150 is required for each application. The process fee is non-refundable and must be received before the application will be processed.

Cashiers' check, money order, check, or credit card. DO NOT SEND CASH.
Make check or money order payable to:

Continuing Education Course Providers

Continuing Education course providers preparing course material for offerings in the mandatory course categories of Agency, Ethics, Fair Housing, Risk Management, Trust Fund Handling, Management and Supervision, and Implicit Bias Training can follow the guidelines as set forth in form RE 329. Course sponsors that would like to pay course fees by credit card can use form RE 909. All out-of-state course providers will also need form RE 304.

A separate application fee is required for each application. The process fee is non-refundable and must be received before the application will be processed.
        $500 Each offering (three hours or more duration)
        $350 Each offering (two hours or less duration)
